M&E Project Manager
Day Rate: £370/day (Inside IR35)
Working Arrangement: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH/on-site depending on project needs We're looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across a range of local authority projects in London. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model and the chance to contribute to high-impact public projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage M&E elements for council-led projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification. Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to develop and approve M&E designs compliant with UK regulations and local authority standards. Conduct site visits to oversee installations, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications. Provide technical support and troubleshoot M&E issues throughout project lifecycles. Integrate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems into broader project frameworks, coordinating with architects, contractors, and stakeholders. Manage project budgets and provide regular updates to council leadership. Ensure that all M&E installations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Requirements HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or degree equivalent) with relevant experience. Proven experience managing M&E projects, ideally within the public sector/local authorities. Strong knowledge of M&E systems, UK building codes, and health & safety standards. Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work both remotely and on-site across London.
