Make data dance. Make decisions sing

At Lloyds Banking Group, data isn't just a file sitting quietly on a server. It's the fuel that fires up every smart move we make. It's the beat we all move to.

Our Data & Analytics has one mission: to weave data, analytics and AI into our DNA. Why? Because we want every decision - big or small - to be powered by data.

As a Data Management Graduate, you won't just sit on the sidelines. You'll be in the mix. Embedding frameworks, shaping strategy, managing key relationships and building the data tools and culture that turn information into innovation.

Two years. All the angles

The two year scheme offers hybrid working in our key UK hubs. You'll rotate across data driven teams, learning how we manage, protect and extract value from our most precious asset.

You could be:

  • Championing data excellence by helping teams embed Group-wide data management standards and principles - making our data trusted, wellgoverned, and ready for action.
  • Driving impact through strong oversight, reducing risk and unlocking better decisions and outcomes.
  • Building capabilities that matter - from rolling out tools and training to co-creating processes with stakeholders that elevate our data maturity.
  • Developing data strategies that help us grow in the right direction, aligned to the Group's goals and values.
  • Empowering a thriving data community by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and creating space for others to learn.
  • Promoting a data driven culture by embedding data-first thinking and reporting on the metrics that really matter.

All while getting hands-on with the tools and tech that keep us futurefocused such as: Power BI, Collibra, Ataccama, Google Cloud Platform, Jira Python, SQL, Tableau, Looker, Dataplex, Confluence and Microsoft Visio.

The work you could be doing

No two weeks are the same. You'll be focussed on driving data management processes through our business units and platforms and in addition you may be:

  • Creating and improving smarter data standards and controls
  • Designing future-focused data strategies and operating models
  • Collecting, integrating and cleaning large, complex datasets
  • Building dashboards in Tableau, PowerBI or Looker to help tell stories through data
  • Collaborating with teams across the business to raise data literacy and awareness
  • Experimenting with GenAI, predictive analytics and Google Cloud technologies
  • Contributing to highprofile initiatives like Digital Waterfront, helping connect the best of our data in one seamless platform

Skills for now. Skills for life

By the end of the programme, you'll have developed:

  • Expertise in data management and controls
  • Portfolio and roadmap design capabilities
  • Strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence in impactful communication and crossteam collaboration
  • A keen understanding of emerging tech, and how to apply it
  • The ability to influence a datadriven culture

Your data powerup

On joining and throughout your programme, you'll be given all the skills you need about all things data:

  • Agile methods & tooling
  • Data management principles
  • Data literacy
  • Strategic planning & data strategy
  • Statistics & ethics
  • Visualisation & storytelling
  • SQL
  • Google Cloud Platform

By the end, you'll be fluent in the language of data - and ready to use it from your very first rotation.

Learning, your way

Once bootcamp's done, it's over to you. We'll help build a personal learning plan around your goals - with options like:

  • DAMA qualification
  • Coursera courses
  • Google Cloud certifications

You'll also be encouraged to jump into "side-of-the-desk" projects - the perfect place to experiment, network and show off what you can do.

The best people in your corner

You'll be supported every step of the way by:

  • A dedicated mentor
  • A buddy who's been there, done that
  • A network of passionate data pros who love a clean dashboard and a solid strategy

Your future, fully funded

You'll earn a good salary with fantastic benefits while building a career in one of the fastest growing areas of the bank. Learning? Paid for. Qualifications? Covered. Opportunities? Everywhere.

By the end, you'll have the skills, confidence and connections to make data work harder - wherever your career takes you.

Requirements

What you need to apply

  • While we do not require a set minimum degree achievement, we strongly recommend the ability to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge, understanding and technical skills aligned to the role. Some aspects of this will be assessed through the application process.
  • We encourage all students to apply, from newly graduated through to MSc/PhD.
  • Note: we cannot sponsor visas.

Locations

This programme operates in various UK regional locations including London, Bristol and Edinburgh.

You'll select one of these regional locations and will be based in various offices for the duration of your programme. We support hybrid working, with all colleagues expected to spend a minimum of two days each week in the office you have been placed.
