We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher to join our thriving two-form entry, Ofsted-rated Outstanding primary school in Ilford, East London, from January 2026. This permanent role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role
Position: Year 6 Class Teacher
Location: Ilford, East London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered
TLR: Available for subject or phase leadership (for the right candidate)
As our Year 6 teacher, you will:
- Lead a class of motivated pupils through their final year of primary school, preparing them confidently for secondary transition and SATs
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support academic excellence and personal growth
- Identify gaps in understanding, provide timely intervention, and challenge high achievers
- Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- (If applicable) Lead a subject area or phase, supporting colleagues and contributing to whole-school development
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2 – Year 6 preferred
- Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, assessment, and SATs preparation
- Calm, confident, and reflective practitioner
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A teacher who thrives in a collaborative, inclusive, and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take on subject or phase leadership (if seeking a TLR)
