English Teacher – Foster High-Level Literary Analysis and Lead the Development of Student Debating and Public Speaking – Hackney
A high-performing and dynamic secondary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced and intellectually engaging Teacher of English with a focus on advanced literary analysis and rhetoric from January 2026.
- English Teacher required from January 2026

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5. The role includes planning lessons that develop advanced critical theory and analytical reading, with a key responsibility for leading the school's successful debating programme.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in English or Literature.
- Proven success in teaching challenging texts at A-Level.
- Experience in leading or coaching a successful school debating society.
- Commitment to contributing to the school's academic literacy programme.
