Data Analyst
Contract: Initial 6-month contract with rolling extensions
Rate: Up to £435 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: BPSS required The Opportunity We are supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a high-profile government initiative focused on delivering improved citizen services through data-driven decision making. Working within a modern AWS-based technology environment, you will play a key role in analysing complex datasets, generating meaningful insights, and supporting programme teams with data-led recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transformation programme that is helping shape the future of public services. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Data Analyst within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
Strong public sector experience, ideally within central government environments.
Advanced SQL skills with experience analysing large and complex datasets.
Strong experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar tools.
Excellent data analysis, validation and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Ability to communicate complex analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working within AWS-based technology environments.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and reporting best practices.Desirable Experience Previous experience delivering within central government organisations.
Experience supporting health, benefits or citizen-facing services.
Knowledge of AWS analytics and reporting services.
Exposure to Java-based application environments and associated data structures
