  • Salary: Pro-rata salary based on the Inner London Teachers' Pay Scales (MPS/UPS).

The Role

  • The successful History Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality, engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE), with a focus on historical context and sophisticated source analysis.
  • You will be immediately supported by a highly effective mentor and integrated into a collaborative team to ensure a smooth transition during the cover period.
  • The History Teacher is expected to contribute to the department's focus on deep conceptual understanding and rapid student progress in critical thinking skills.
  • This maternity cover, part-time post is an ideal fit for a History Teacher seeking valuable experience with a balanced timetable in an outstanding Inner London setting.
  • The department values strong subject knowledge and will encourage the History Teacher to lead relevant historical debates and discussions.
  • The appointed History Teacher will play a role in departmental assessment and tracking to ensure exceptional pupil progress.
  • You will be integrated into a highly collaborative Humanities faculty as the History Teacher.

Requirements

  • Holds QTS
  • Has the right to work in the UK
