Client Account Manager / Sales Executive - Financial Services
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 base salary + commission & benefits
We are seeking ambitious and driven Client Account Manager / Sales Executives with a strong background in Financial Services to join our client’s rapidly growing team in an number of exciting locations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage client relationships, drive sales growth, and enhance the delivery of high-value financial products and services to our clients.
The ideal candidates will possess excellent sales skills, a deep understanding of the financial services sector, and the ability to provide bespoke solutions to clients’ financial needs. You will be responsible for managing existing client accounts, expanding business relationships, and identifying new revenue opportunities, while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
The Role
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients in the financial services industry.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and understanding their unique needs.
- Deliver tailored financial solutions to clients, ensuring their requirements are met effectively.
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Identify new business opportunities and proactively pursue leads to achieve sales targets.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive business growth, maximising revenue for both the client and the company.
- Cross-sell and upsell additional financial products and services to existing clients.
- Client Onboarding & Support:
- Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, collaborating with the operations and implementation teams to ensure smooth integration.
- Provide ongoing support and product education to clients, ensuring the continued success of their financial strategies.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, risk, operations) to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales progress using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Regularly report on performance against sales targets, providing insights and feedback to management.
The Person
- Proven Sales Experience – 2+ years in sales or account management, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong Communication Skills – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers.
- Client-Focused Approach – Proven ability to understand and address client needs with tailored financial solutions.
- Financial Products Knowledge – A solid understanding of financial products (e.g., investment products, insurance, wealth management, pensions, etc.).
- Problem Solving – Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic solutions to complex client requirements.
- CRM Proficiency – Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing client accounts and sales tracking.
- Target-Oriented – Motivated to meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on driving business growth.
- Education – A degree or relevant qualification in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with wealth management , investment banking , or other key financial services areas.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, CFP) are advantageous.
- Experience in financial planning or advising is a plus.
