Kilnbridge Group

About Kilnbridge

Kilnbridge is the UK’s leading structures specialist, delivering some of the country’s most complex and iconic engineering, construction and infrastructure projects. Our expertise spans the full lifecycle of a structure - design, build, adapt, repair and protect - delivered by four specialist operational businesses that combine seamlessly as One Kilnbridge to meet any project’s needs.

We are purpose led, focused on building a sustainable and resilient future for the UK, with a reputation for technical excellence, safety and quality built over 35 years. As an employee-owned business, our people are at the heart of everything we do - empowered to contribute, innovate and help shape our continued success.

If you want to develop your expertise, contribute to technically challenging projects and be part of a collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Recruitment in construction isn't about posting adverts and waiting for applications. It's about knowing where to find the right people, building relationships and moving quickly to secure skilled candidates before the competition does.

As Recruitment Resourcer at Kilnbridge, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of some of the UK's most complex infrastructure, engineering and construction projects by identifying, engaging and securing the skilled people our operational teams need to succeed.

Working directly with hiring managers, site teams and business leaders, you'll become a key part of our in-house Talent team, helping to recruit blue-collar and white-collar talent across our projects and corporate functions. From skilled trades and operatives to supervisors, engineers and specialist construction professionals, you'll be responsible for sourcing the talent that keeps our projects moving.

Whether you're already working in-house or looking to take the next step from agency recruitment, you'll have the opportunity to build long-term talent pipelines, partner directly with hiring managers and see the impact of your hiring decisions on some of the UK's most significant construction and infrastructure projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction resourcer who enjoys direct sourcing, building talent networks and working at pace. You'll have real ownership, develop strong relationships with operational teams and make a visible impact on project delivery and business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Sourcing skilled trades, labour, supervisors, plant operators and specialist construction professionals across multiple live projects.

  • Building and maintaining talent pools to support both current and future workforce requirements.

  • Using job boards, social media, networking, referrals and direct approaches to identify and attract high-quality candidates.

  • Writing compelling job adverts that attract the right talent and promote Kilnbridge as an employer of choice.

  • Managing candidate applications and screening candidates against role requirements, qualifications, experience and availability.

  • Developing strong relationships with candidates and becoming a trusted point of contact throughout the recruitment process.

  • Working closely with operational managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs, workforce plans and project mobilisation requirements.

  • Managing high-volume recruitment campaigns and responding effectively to urgent hiring requirements.

  • Coordinating interviews, onboarding activities and pre-employment checks.

  • Maintaining accurate recruitment records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.

  • Monitoring candidate availability, market trends and competitor activity to support effective hiring strategies.

  • Supporting initiatives that reduce agency reliance through proactive direct sourcing and talent pooling.

  • Providing an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience while ensuring recruitment processes run smoothly and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

· We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced recruitment environment, enjoys building relationships and has a passion for finding great people.

  • Previous experience in recruitment, resourcing or talent acquisition, ideally within construction, infrastructure, engineering, industrial or blue-collar sectors.

  • Experience gained within either an in-house Talent Acquisition team or a recruitment agency specialising in construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial or blue-collar recruitment.

  • Proven experience sourcing and engaging skilled trades, labour, plant operators, supervisors or site-based professionals.

  • Strong candidate attraction, networking and headhunting skills.

  • Experience managing multiple vacancies and competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Confidence building credibility and relationships with hiring managers, operational teams and candidates at all levels.

  • A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to work at pace and deliver against recruitment targets.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Experience using recruitment systems, job boards, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools.

  • Knowledge of pre-employment screening, right-to-work checks and recruitment compliance requirements.

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues across the wider People team.

  • Most importantly, you'll share our values of Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence and be committed to helping us attract and retain the very best talent.
