Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher | Redbridge
We are delighted to invite applications for a committed and inspiring Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community in Redbridge. This role offers the opportunity to work across Years 5 and 6, helping pupils grow academically, emotionally, and socially during the final stages of their primary education.
Our school prides itself on high expectations, strong relationships, and a nurturing ethos. As a UKS2 teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum, encouraging pupils to become independent learners who take pride in their achievements. You will create a classroom environment that balances challenge with support, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and motivated.
You will use assessment thoughtfully to track progress, inform planning, and provide targeted support where needed. Differentiation and inclusion will be central to your practice, particularly when supporting pupils with SEND, EAL, or those requiring additional intervention. Working closely with teaching assistants and the SEN team will ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.
Collaboration is at the heart of our school culture. You will work closely with colleagues across Upper Key Stage 2 to ensure continuity and progression, share best practice, and contribute to curriculum development. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is also highly valued.
The school is committed to staff development and wellbeing, offering access to training, mentoring, and opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as your career progresses.
You will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Upper Key Stage 2
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
Use assessment to support pupil progress and attainment
Support pupils’ academic and emotional development
Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
In return, we offer:

Pupils who are motivated, respectful, and eager to learn
