Due to business expansion, we are looking to hire a Management Accountant in London . The Finance team plays a valuable part in ensuring the smooth running of operations across the group and often goes above and beyond to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentaries.

  • Produce annual statutory accounts in management accounts format.

  • Report on company assets and liabilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets.

  • Ongoing review of cash flow and production of forecasts.

  • Calculation, presentation, and payment of VAT for European companies.

  • Manage capital expenditure and ensure it aligns with the company’s budget and strategic plans.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

  • Liaise directly with auditors to ensure relevant information is provided and the annual audit is delivered on time.

  • Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key Requirements

  • Education / Training

    • Studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (full qualification not required).

    • Strong willingness to continue professional development supported by the company.

    Experience

    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within recruitment or professional services.

    • Strong background in management accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

    Skills

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

    • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to manage deadlines under pressure.

    • Solid understanding of VAT and financial regulations.

    • Experience working in international businesses with multi-currency exposure is an advantage.
