Manager, Distribution

- Lead operations for merchandise and VAS programmes across the UK and EU
- Coordinate inbound shipments (including international freight) and outbound deliveries
- Develop and manage work orders and operational documentation
- Ensure VAS components arrive on time and that kits are dispatched as scheduled
- Monitor programme progress and provide regular updates on readiness, completion, and costs
- Maintain receiving schedules for inbound deliveries and liaise with warehouse teams
- Plan outbound shipments with Order Management and 3PL partners
- Investigate root causes of any on-time delivery failures and implement solutions
- Support and implement operational initiatives to drive efficiency and scalability
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved workflows, and system automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Supply Chain, Transportation, Commercial)
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and performance gaps
- Prepare reports and present operational insights to senior leadership
- Manage and monitor departmental budgets and resource use
- Ensure high service levels and timely fulfilment to meet customer expectations
- Address and resolve operational issues affecting customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and SOPs
- Lead or support cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational performance
- Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to successful completion
- Proven experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain (ideally within FMCG, beauty, or retail)
- Strong knowledge of working with 3PLs and international logistics
- Proficiency in Excel (for scheduling, reporting, and data analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
- Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in or with larger organisations is preferred
