As a central role in the operations and touring side of the business, overseeing all merchandise and product requirements, the Production Assistant will support the Head of Production, A&R Account Managers, and the broader team by managing suppliers, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every product makes it from concept to delivery on time and to spec.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full workflow from manufacturing through to delivery.
  • Maintain the internal quoting system, ensuring no invoices or deliveries are outstanding.
  • Oversee the order schedule for touring and e-commerce projects.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure product specifications and proofs are accurate.
  • Process sales orders, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Source and build relationships with reliable suppliers across screen printing, embroidery, and custom garment development.
  • Negotiate costs with suppliers and clients, and track stock levels.
  • Coordinate merchandise logistics for tours, including allocations, restocks, and reporting.
  • Liaise directly with tour personnel to provide accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Plan ahead for upcoming touring projects and ensure smooth execution.
  • Step in to cover key responsibilities for the Head of Production during annual leave.

Profile:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and organisational communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Confident communicator with both clients and suppliers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and wider IT tools.
  • Knowledge of CRM and supply chain systems.
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines calmly and professionally.
  • Flexibility — willingness to take calls and respond to emails outside office hours when required by touring.
  • A genuine passion for music and live events.
  • Experience in raising purchase orders and invoices is a plus
  • Experience or understanding of music artist touring is a plus

Why join BSI Merch?
