Senior Manager - Indirect Tax (Real Estate & Infrastructure)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager to join a leading Indirect Tax Transactions team with a focus on Real Estate and Infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced VAT specialist looking to take ownership of complex client relationships, lead on significant UK and international transactions, and play a key role in developing the next generation of tax professionals.
This is a client-facing and commercially focused role, offering a wide range of technical challenges, exposure to some of the market's most significant deals, and the platform to progress towards Director level.
The Opportunity
* Lead VAT due diligence and structuring assignments on high-profile real estate and infrastructure transactions
* Provide strategic VAT advice on acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, and joint ventures
* Manage complex financing and sale agreements from a VAT perspective
* Act as a trusted adviser to clients, ensuring pre- and post-deal VAT strategies are robust and commercially sound
* Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, corporates, and other key stakeholders
* Collaborate with colleagues across the national network on cross-border and multi-disciplinary projects
* Drive business development activity, identifying opportunities and supporting client pitches
* Mentor and develop junior colleagues, playing a central role in shaping the technical capability and culture of the team
About You
* ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent international qualification)
* Strong technical expertise in UK Indirect Tax, ideally with a focus on real estate and infrastructure sectors
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple client workstreams concurrently
* Proven experience in building and maintaining trusted client relationships at senior levels
* Commercial mindset with a track record of spotting opportunities and contributing to business development
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop junior colleagues
* Strong communication and influencing ability, with confidence under pressure
