Lead Salesforce Engineer

Sopra Steria
London

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Salesforce engineer who wants to influence the future direction of enterprise solutions while staying close to the technology? Ready to step up into a lead role, or looking for a new one?

We're looking for a Lead Salesforce Engineers to join our new, rapidly growing Salesforce practice within Sopra Steria.

These are rare opportunities to help shape innovative Salesforce solutions within highly regulated environments, working on platforms that support customer management, compliance processes and complex data governance.

You'll work alongside experienced architects, engineers and product teams to design, build and evolve scalable Salesforce solutions, contributing directly to implementation decisions and engineering outcomes. This position combines solution design with hands-on technical leadership and could be a great step for a future Technical Architect.

You'll have the opportunity to influence how Salesforce capabilities develop across the organisation, helping to drive adoption of emerging technologies across the Salesforce tech stack and ISV tool suite.

Working within a complex enterprise landscape, you'll contribute to innovative platform improvements, shape technical standards and help create solutions that deliver real value for customers and stakeholders.

These are hybrid roles with an expectation to work from our London office 2 to 3 days per week.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across multiple Agile Scrum teams and complex delivery initiatives.
  • Developing, reviewing and supporting Salesforce implementations including Apex, Lightning Web Components and integrations.
  • Translating business requirements into secure, maintainable and high-performing Salesforce solutions.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers to drive engineering excellence and code quality.
  • Contributing to architecture decisions, solution design workshops and technical roadmap activities.
  • Driving innovation through adoption of modern Salesforce capabilities, Artificial Intelligence technologies and engineering best practice.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong hands-on Salesforce development expertise, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and platform configuration.
  • Experience designing, developing and delivering Salesforce solutions within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud and Salesforce platform architecture principles.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems, applications and services.
  • Knowledge of secure software engineering practices, automated testing and code quality standards.
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer, Application Architect or System Architect, and experience working within Agile, product-focused delivery teams.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience working within public sector, financial services or other highly regulated environments.
  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence capabilities and emerging Salesforce innovations.
  • Experience with CopadoDevSecOps tooling.
  • Experience supporting technical capability development through mentoring and coaching.

If you're interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you!

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Location: London (hybrid working with 2 to 3 days per week in the office).
Security Clearance Level: Security Check (SC) clearance preferred. Candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
Internal Recruiter: Paul Kitchen
Salary: Salary: Dependent on Experience, to be discussed with the Recruiter.
Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.

If you're interested and need to work flexibly, we encourage you to apply and talk to us about what might be possible.
