This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate English Academic Mentor to support students across Key Stage 3 to A-Level, helping to raise attainment and build confidence in English Language and Literature.

What You’ll Do as a Graduate English Academic Mentor
As a Graduate English Academic Mentor , you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic progress and love of English. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions in English Language and Literature.
- Supporting students with analytical writing, reading comprehension, and exam preparation.
- Assisting classroom teachers with lesson planning and delivery.
- Monitoring student progress and helping to create targeted learning strategies.
- Promoting a love of literature, strong communication skills, and critical thinking.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate English Academic Mentor with the following:
- A degree 2:1 or above in English, English Literature, English Language, or a closely related subject from a top university.
- A genuine passion for education and the English curriculum.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build rapport with students and support them in reaching their potential.
- Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
