SummarySenior BI Analyst with UX/UI Specialisation
Are you a UX/UI visionary passionate about transforming raw data into intuitive, engaging experiences that empower users to make smarter decisions?
Job Introduction
Join Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) as our Senior BI Analyst, where you'll blend 60% cutting-edge UX/UI design with 40% advanced BI analytics to revolutionise how we leverage data for social housing innovation. In this hybrid role, you'll spearhead user-centred design for Power BI dashboards and visualisations, conducting UX research, analysis, and evaluation to ensure seamless, accessible interfaces that anticipate user needs and drive operational efficiency.
Drawing on your deep expertise in user experience design-from wireframing intuitive data flows and prototyping with tools like Axure RP with user testing - you'll collaborate cross-functional teams to translate complex stakeholder requirements into ethical, privacy-focused BI solutions that feel effortless and insightful.
With hands-on Power BI proficiency, you'll manipulate and cleanse data, build scalable Azure-integrated prototypes, and mentor junior analysts on UX best practices.
What you'll do
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable effective decision-making and insight across NHG. Working independently and collaboratively, you'll lead the creation of data visualisations and analytical models using Power BI and Azure technologies.
You'll also mentor others, helping to grow BI capability across the organisation while promoting best practices in analytics, data quality, and reporting.
How you'll do it
- Develop complex BI solutions and dashboards using Power BI and Azure data services.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business users to design effective data products.
- Ensure BI systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with NHG's business goals.
- Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and improving analytical capability across teams.
- Monitor and maintain BI solutions to ensure consistent performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot issues proactively, escalating as needed and maintaining strong communication during incidents.
- Champion data ethics, data quality, and user experience in all BI products.
- Support the ongoing development of NHG's analytics roadmap.
- Lead user-centred design for Power BI dashboards and data visualisations, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and efficient user experiences.
- Conduct UX research, analysis, and evaluation to anticipate user needs and optimise interface usability.
- Wireframe and prototype intuitive data flows using tools such as Axure RP, incorporating feedback through user testing and iteration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex stakeholder requirements into ethical, privacy-focused BI solutions.
- Apply hands-on Power BI expertise to manipulate, cleanse, and visualise data effectively.
- Design and build scalable, Azure-integrated prototypes that support enterprise-level reporting and analytics.
- Mentor junior analysts on UX principles, data visualisation best practices, and human-centred design methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality BI insights that drive operational and strategic improvements.
- Lead data visualisation projects, ensuring outputs are clear, accurate, and actionable.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Maintain and improve data quality standards.
- Mentor team members and support capability building across NHG.

Essential:
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related discipline.
