An outstanding Secondary School located in the London Borough of Hackney are looking to secure an ICT Technician to start asap on an ongoin assignment.

The School

This school is an outstanding non-selective secondary school located in the London borough of Hackney They have been an outstanding school for the last decade and have consistently achieved excellent exam results putting them in the top 5% for student progress. Many of the children who attend the school go to study at Russell brick universities.

They have fantastic modern facilities in a university campus layout, extensive IT facilities, large outdoor playing fields and one of the largest post 16 centres in London.



ICT technician

The school is looking to secure an ICT technician to start immediately for an ongoing assignment. The school are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and has had previous experience as an ICT technician within a School setting.

The main duties will include:

• Managing computer hardware, software and systems within the school and provide technical support to the school network to ensure effective IT provision to school for both curriculum and administrative purposes.
• Provides advice to other Facilities and staff on purchase of appropriate equipment to meet identified needs.
• Identifies and installs hardware and software to develop school systems in line with changing technology.
• To maintain and action an effective helpdesk system, ensuring that tasks are logged, and effective feedback promptly provided.
• Assists in the resolution of network problems, maintains and repairs hardware and software to enable the smooth running of all school IT systems
• To become familiar with the needs of pupils and staff so that appropriate ICT hardware and software is available at the right time and place for teaching purposes.
