SEN TA - Kingston
A welcoming primary school in Kingston is recruiting a reliable and compassionate SEN TA to join the SEND team from January 2026. The appointed SEN TA will provide focused one-to-one support, run small-group programmes and help pupils to access the full curriculum. This SEN TA role in Kingston includes a full induction and handover scheduled ahead of January 2026, with the SEN TA in post from January 2026.

Working in Kingston, the SEN TA will liaise closely with the SENCo and class teams to adapt resources, deliver evidence-informed interventions and monitor pupil progress. The SEN TA will support communication programmes, sensory regulation strategies and social–emotional work, helping pupils practise skills taught in class. The Kingston school values a practical, patient SEN TA who is organised and committed to inclusive practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned one-to-one and small-group interventions, record outcomes and adapt approaches.
- Support pupils within whole-class lessons by scaffolding tasks and modelling strategies.
- Prepare and adapt resources to promote independence and access to the curriculum in Kingston.
- Support social and emotional development and implement agreed regulation strategies.
- Maintain clear records of progress and contribute to review meetings with the SENCo and families.
Person specification
- Experience supporting children with SEND in school or specialist settings as a SEN TA.
- Confident delivering small-group programmes, patient, organised and pragmatic.
- Good communicator able to liaise with teachers, therapists and parents across Kingston.
- Available to start January 2026 and attend induction and handover before January 2026.
