Head of Housekeeping
As Head of Housekeeping at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness and overall appearance of the train. In this role, you will lead the cabin team to ensure the train is clean, well-maintained and welcoming, ensuring our guests enjoy the highest standards of service and a luxurious experience beyond their expectations. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Creating, updating and implementing departmental standard operating procedures.
- Overseeing and managing the cabin service for our guests, making sure all services are delivered punctually in accordance with our standards.
- Providing excellent customer service to guests in accordance with Belmond and Leading Quality Assurance standards.
- Monitoring team members’ effectiveness and implementing corrective action where required.
- Reporting and coordinating maintenance work with the relevant teams to keep the train in good order.
- Budgeting, planning and monitoring departmental expenditure.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Relevant management or field/industry related diploma or degree.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Experience in operating a modern sewing machine, overlock machine, heat sealing iron, scissors, rippers and bolt cutters in a safe and efficient manner.
- Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints.
