Mobile Fitter (Network Rail)

An excellent opportunity has come up within our Torrent Trackside business for a Mobile Fitter to cover the West London, Woking and Guildford areas. This opportunity would suit a small plant fitter or mechanic who has experience in small plant maintenance, electrical systems, battery powered tools and agricultural or construction industry plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, service, repair of company and customer assets at customer premises.
• Work on your own and as part of a team at customer premises ensuring that the equipment is maintained to manufacturer specifications at all times.
• Complete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all times.
• Ensure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Time served Qualified Plant Fitter or Mechanic
• Full UK Driving license
• Able to plan own workload and manage time effectively

Working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of:

• small plant engines such as petrol 2 stroke, 4 stroke and diesels
• 12 vault electrical systems
• Battery powered tools

The successful candidate will be expected to pass a Drug and Alcohol Railway standard medical and undergo PTS safety qualification training. All of this will be arranged for you.
