POSITION SUMMARY: The Indigenous Counselor provides school-based prevention and intervention services to address the social and emotional barriers to learning for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students in elementary, secondary and alternative school settings.QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of a two-year Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Counselling, Social Service Work or Child Studies and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a school Board or community agency providing counselling services to children and families.The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.Please note that it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application is received by Human Resources on or before the deadline date.Please use the "APPLY FOR THIS POSITION" link below to submit your electronic application.
