Salary: Between £500 - £600 per week
We are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded secondary schools in Kensington with the appointment of an exceptional Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant . This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-achieving graduate with a strong background in Mathematics who is eager to gain valuable classroom experience ahead of progressing onto a PGCE or Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme .
This role is particularly well suited to ambitious graduates who are passionate about education and keen to support students in achieving academic excellence in Mathematics.
The Role
As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced Maths teachers to support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with potential exposure to Key Stage 5 .
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality Maths lessons within the classroom.
- Providing 1:1 support to students who require additional guidance or challenge.
- Leading and assisting small group interventions to raise attainment and confidence.
- Supporting students of varying abilities , including high-achieving pupils and those who need extra support.
- Assisting with lesson preparation, resources and classroom organisation.
- Helping to maintain a positive, focused and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a high-calibre graduate who:
- Holds strong A-level results in Mathematics or related subjects.
- Has achieved a 2:1 or above in a degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Maths education.
- Is confident working with secondary-aged students across different year groups.
- Has strong communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude.
- Is considering a future career in teaching via a PGCE or ITT route.
