Duty Team Occupational Therapist within AHP - Occupational Therapy in Kensington and Chelsea, London, earning up to £36.00 per hour . Working within a community-based setting, you will undertake meaningful Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, supporting residents to maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

What you will do

* Undertake Occupational Therapy assessments within Adult Social Care settings.
* Complete comprehensive reviews of individuals' care and support needs.
* Assess, recommend, and arrange specialist equipment and minor to major adaptations.
* Carry out complex moving and handling assessments.
* Support Disabled Facilities Grant applications and provide housing adaptation recommendations.
* Develop person-centred intervention plans that promote independence, safety, and wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively with service users, carers, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
* Participate in duty service responsibilities and respond to urgent referrals where required.
* Maintain accurate records, assessments, reports, and case documentation.
* Promote strengths-based practice and support residents to remain independent within their communities.

Requirements

* Professional Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Adult Social Care Experience: Previous experience working within Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy services.
* Moving and Handling Expertise: Proven experience undertaking complex moving and handling assessments.
* Equipment and Adaptations Knowledge: Experience recommending specialist equipment and housing adaptations.
* Caseload Management: Ability to manage an independent caseload and prioritise effectively.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, assessment, and report-writing skills.
* Duty Participation: Willingness to participate in the duty rota is essential.

Desirable

* Local Authority Experience: Previous experience within a Local Authority or Adult Social Care team.
* Complex Case Management: Experience managing complex community-based cases.
* Independence-Focused Practice: Strong understanding of strengths-based and independence-promoting interventions.
* Hybrid Working Experience: Familiarity with remote and hybrid service delivery models.
