Family Solicitor

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of private family law matters including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, cohabitation disputes, and pre-/post-nuptial agreements.
- Provide expert advice on financial arrangements following relationship breakdowns.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court hearings where necessary.
- Draft and review key legal documents, including financial disclosure, consent orders, and settlement agreements.
- Deliver clear, compassionate, and practical legal advice, maintaining high standards of client care.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, barristers, and other professionals.
- Support the growth of the firm through networking and business development activities in the family finance space.
- Ensure all work complies with legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales).
- Solid experience in private family finance matters.
- Strong knowledge of financial remedy law and associated legislation.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while delivering exceptional client service.
- Professional, empathetic, and able to foster trusted client relationships.
- 2+ years’ PQE (however, applications from strong candidates outside this range are welcome).
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
- An established client base or local/regional network is advantageous.
