Senior Indirect Tax Manager - Powering the Future of Energy
A fantastic opportunity has opened for an Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join a rapidly expanding Energy & Resources team, providing expert advice on all aspects of indirect tax, including VAT, Customs duties, Excise duties and Environmental taxes. This role offers the chance to work in a rapidly evolving sector, helping clients navigate the shift towards sustainable energy, low-carbon solutions, battery storage and renewables, while also supporting traditional energy businesses.
The Role: The Indirect Tax Senior Manager will lead the delivery of high-quality, practical indirect tax advice to clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, managing and mentoring teams and driving business development efforts. This individual will be instrumental in helping grow the Indirect Tax Energy practice and the overall team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the successful delivery of tax advisory projects, ensuring a high standard of technical excellence combined with a business-focused approach.
* Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business and ensuring the highest quality of service.
* Provide leadership, mentoring and development opportunities to junior team members.
* Collaborate with global colleagues to deliver comprehensive tax and advisory services.
* Contribute to the strategic growth of the indirect tax business within the energy sector.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience: A minimum of 8 years' experience in UK indirect tax advisory, ideally within the energy sector or a similar industry.
* Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, with a strong track record of motivating and developing teams.
* Client Focus: Commercially aware with strong business development skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing relationships both internally and externally.
* Project Management: Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and monitor budgets effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
* ACA/ACCA/CA/CTA or equivalent qualifications.
* A strong interest in the energy market, sustainability, and the energy transition agenda.
