Structural BIM Technician
Our Nuclear, Defence and Civil division is growing, and we are looking for a BIM Technician to join our expanding team. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will support the delivery of projects across the nuclear, defence, energy and infrastructure sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your digital engineering and BIM capabilities while contributing to the production of high-quality 3D models and information deliverables that support some of the UK's most complex and challenging projects. You will work closely with engineers, designers and BIM professionals, supporting the development of structural steelwork and reinforced concrete models using Autodesk Revit whilst helping to drive best practice in digital project delivery. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Produce and develop BIM models for structural steelwork and reinforced concrete elements using Autodesk Revit
- Support engineers and project teams in the creation and coordination of project BIM content and deliverables
- Work within project Common Data Environments (CDEs) to manage and exchange project information effectively
- Ensure BIM models and associated information comply with project BIM standards, procedures and quality requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians and multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated project delivery
- Participate in model reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure information accuracy and consistency
- Assist with the production of project documentation, drawings and model-based deliverables
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital delivery processes, workflows and BIM best practice
- Develop knowledge of emerging digital technologies, tools and industry standards, Life assurance equal up to 4 x your basic salary, with an option to increase the level of cover to 6 x your salary.

- Strong interest in digital engineering, 3D design and model-based delivery
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver work to deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn new skills, technologies and software
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team environment
- UK National and eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) Desirable:
- Experience supporting civil or structural engineering design projects
- Experience of reinforced concrete detailing
- Familiarity with Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Understanding of industry BIM standards and information management processes
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and requirements
- EngTech status or working towards a relevant professional qualification
