Science Technician
An Outstanding Secondary School in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to support its highly successful Science department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving school where practical science plays a central role in delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum.
The successful candidate will support Biology, Chemistry and Physics teaching by preparing equipment, materials and practical resources for lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. You will ensure laboratories are organised, safe and fully stocked, enabling teachers and students to make the most of practical learning opportunities.
Key responsibilities include preparing chemicals and equipment, maintaining laboratory resources, monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering supplies and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed effectively. You will also support teachers during practical activities where required and contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
The role would suit an organised, practical and proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy educational environment. Previous experience in a laboratory, school or technical setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
