Duties and Responsibilities

As Head Bartender, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

  • Focus and review regularly through my physical presence in my department, our rigorous adherence to LQA standards.
  • Supervise the service & monitor guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for inspecting department and guests’ orders on a regular basis and ensuring any maintenance and product improvements are actioned within the designated time frame.
  • Responsible for monthly beverage inventory.
  • Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to provide the Six Senses exceptional standards of service.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
  • Greet guests by name on arrival in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Attend regular meetings and briefings to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
  • Well versed with beverage offerings, familiar with preparation, ingredients and presentation of menu offerings.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Head Bartender, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • Experience in cocktail-making, beverage service and garnishing with excellent knowledge of wines, spirits and mixed drinks.
  • Familiar with Food and beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
