We are looking for a passionate Construction Manager to join our dynamic Construction Execution team. You will assist in planning, execution, and delivery of straightforward construction projects or support portions of more difficult projects for delivery stations and fulfillment centers across EMEA. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to Amazon's expanding infrastructure.

Would you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple EU countries and cultures? The role will be based in the UK with 50% of time traveling either domestically within the country or to other EMEA countries.

Key job responsibilities

- Support planning and execution of straightforward construction projects

- Run on-site construction meetings and track progress

- Assist in budget creation and cost monitoring

- Identify and escalate blockers/risks

- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors

- Track project milestones and deadlines

- Compile and organize project updates and schedules

- Learn and implement construction best practices

A day in the life

Your dynamic day starts with a site walk-through, where you will see your projects taking shape. You will then participate in construction progress meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and moving forward. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with experienced team members who are invested in your growth, learning the ins and outs of construction management in real-time. You might find yourself reviewing contractor submittals, updating project schedules, or problem solving with your team.

Our Execution Construction team provides opportunities for growth and learning while delivering essential infrastructure projects for Amazon. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- B.Sc of Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering or Architecture, or Country equivalent

- Basic understanding of construction processes

- Strong organizational and documentation skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent communication skills

- Fluency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous internship in construction management

- Familiarity with project management tools

- Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations

- Experience with construction documentation systems

- French, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
