Application Support Engineer – Fintech Peterborough

Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Application Support Exec to join or well known banking client who is disrupting the standard High Street space.

The Application Support role has come around due to an expansion and strategic change, the Support Executive will report in to the head of support and client management. This role offers the ability to move towards product management as well as platform ownership or business analysis within a short space of time.

The Support Analyst will be involved in:

• Provide technical and elements of functional support to the business users for all applications
• Root cause analysis, document and implement solution
• Change Management
• Provide design input for new projects covering possible reuse, application cooperation and deployment models
• Review implementation and deployment designs
• Release Management
• Install and configure applications
• Configuration Management
• Ensure application servers operate within acceptable parameters through monitoring tools

This role allows rapid promotion to senior support and implementation roles as well as professional services. As a fintech company I am looking for Application support analysts who like finance and technology, who wants to move up to team lead within a year.

Application Support Engineers / Analysts should have:

• 3 years Commercial Experience of Application Support
• Degree with a technology or Science focus
• Experience of supporting COTS applications at 3rd line level
• Familiarity with ITMS platforms (i.e. HP Service Desk, ServiceNow, BMC etc.), Incident, Change and Problem management
• SQL, RDBMS (SQL Server and / or Oracle)
• IIS or equivalent Web Server, Server Administration (predominantly Windows)
• DNS and AD
• Virtualisation, Citrix, Digital Certificate Management, Networking, Integration Concepts
• (Messaging, FTP, SFTP, ETL, Web Services etc.)
• ITIL
• Ideally Familiarity with modelling languages (i.e.UML)
