Examinations Officer
Hall Grove School is seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Examinations Officer to join our growing team in our newly-established senior school. Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to start work in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to ensure compliance as we prepare for our first cohort of GCSE students sitting GCSEs in May 2028. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in exam coordination and data management with excellent organisational and IT skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods. Able to work proactively, prioritise and manage their own workload, the successful applicant will be able to meet deadlines and take responsibility for specific areas of work both as an individual and within a team. Skilled in IT (MS Office), they will have experience of databases and spreadsheet applications with a willingness to build on these. A strong communicator, they will have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including parents, pupils, staff and external authorities.
This is likely to be a part-time role and will be term-time only (apart from published INSET days and 1 week in August for results day and preparation). The hours are likely to vary depending on the time of the academic year. Although aspects of the role will require the Examinations Officer to work in school in person, some flexibility can be offered to enable working from home. Candidates will be able to discuss working hours and arrangements at interview.
To better understand the unique learning environment that is Hall Grove, all applicants are strongly encouraged to visit our website Hall Grove School - Home Page prior to applying.
Hall Grove is committed to safeguarding, keeping children safe from harm and promoting their welfare. All staff have the responsibility for safeguarding children and this is a key part of the role.
Applications to the Headmaster (completed application form) by email ( [email protected] ). Closing Date: 1800hrs on Friday 20 February 2026.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended) and full safeguarding checks will be undertaken prior to appointment. The school is committed to equal opportunities, welcoming applications from all those who meet the essential requirements of the role.
