Research Data and Reporting Analyst
Drive the quality, governance and reporting behind globally recognised precious metals research. This Research Data and Reporting Analyst role offers the opportunity to influence critical datasets, improve reporting processes and support high-value client deliverables within a specialist research environment.
The Company
Based in Farringdon, London, this role sits within a specialist research and data business operating across global commodity and financial markets. Working in a hybrid model with three office days per week, you will join a collaborative team that combines deep market expertise with proprietary data, forecasting and consultancy services. The environment offers direct exposure to senior decision-makers, international colleagues and complex research datasets, with a strong focus on ownership, accuracy and continuous improvement.
The Role
As a Research Data and Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening data quality, governance and operational reporting. You will support a major data infrastructure improvement programme while helping maintain the integrity of research data used across client deliverables and business reporting. The position combines data validation, dashboard development, reporting and process improvement, offering significant visibility across the organisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to both operational efficiency and long-term data maturity.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and operational reporting.
- Support data governance, controls and quality assurance.
- Prepare, reconcile and validate complex research datasets.
- Contribute to data migration, testing and process documentation.
- Deliver accurate datasets to external customers.
- Influence reporting improvements and data best practice.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Strong Excel skills and data analysis capability.
- Experience creating dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Ability to validate, reconcile and improve data quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in economic, commodity, financial-market or research data.
Nice-to-Have
- Power Query, DAX or SQL experience.
- Exposure to CRM systems, databases or data migration projects.
- Knowledge of data governance principles.
