Computer Science Position in Barnet - Outstanding Ofsted
An established, Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary School in Barnet, North London, recognized for its exceptional student outcomes in STEM, is seeking an ambitious Teacher of Computer Science to join its permanent, full-time faculty in January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Deliver stimulating and intellectually rigorous lessons in Computer Science to students across all key stages, including GCSE and A-Level (theory, programming, and algorithms).
- Design and implement an ambitious curriculum that ensures outstanding learning and preparation for future academic pathways.
- Contribute actively to the school's enrichment programme, leading coding clubs or computational thinking initiatives.
- Uphold the high standards of intellectual discipline and excellent pupil behaviour expected across the school.
Requirements
- A strong degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven ability to teach the subject effectively across all secondary key stages.
- A passion for fostering critical thinking and inspiring the next generation of technologists.
- Suitable for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive, high-performing environment.
