ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as Operations Associate Director. This is a full-time position based in London. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Associate Director role will primarily have ownership of the operational success of the client account. This vital role will work closely with the Operations Director to ensure our work is run efficiently and effectively, by connecting our specialist teams and delivering ways of working that bring the best of our teams to Amazon.

  • Owns projects and workstreams and projects that enable our XCM and CDS EU teams to deliver excellent work.
  • Works closely with the Operations Director to support the client’s transformation ambitions in EU with a particular focus on automation and simplification.
  • Drives the delivery of new tech and tools, system developments & migrations.
  • Implements and governs ways of working that drive efficiency.
  • Manages the day-to-day workload and completion of business tasks across the Operations team (writing and circulating process, ensuring data is captured from the agency in a timely manner).
  • Works alongside the Operations Director to deliver sufficient documentation and process for the agency.
  • Works with internal and external counterparts (Account Management, Planning, Tech, Finance and Locale teams) to ensure all campaigns are implemented efficiently and reconciled on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong media background, with a good understanding of media agency functions
  • Evidence of operational experience and project management
  • Strong organisational skills and experience of building and rolling out processes
  • Must be very results-orientated and able to manage up
  • A change agent and influencer
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A good people networker who is comfortable leading conversations with senior teams.

  • Process-minded with the ability to set, monitor and support existing workflows
  • Ability to drive operational best practices across the wider team; proven track record in influencing and implementing process improvement
  • Competent in Excel and data analysis (experience in Power BI would be welcomed)
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to solve escalated issues for timely resolution
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Open-minded, able to develop and assess different options and solutions.
  • Proactively looks for ways to make improvements, flags issues ahead of time and autonomous.
