Due to continued growth, they are seeking a dependable and versatile Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber to join their experienced and expanding team.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in a water hygiene, risk assessment or plumbing-based role
City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment qualification desirableLegionella Risk Assessor

Full UK driving licence
Ability to travel nationally and stay away when required
Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
Physically capable (lifting, carrying, climbing) where required
Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct Legionella risk assessments across various facilities to identify hazards and sources of bacterial risk
Collect water samples and undertake on-site testing
Produce detailed written reports with recommendations
Support clients in developing or improving water management plans
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ACOP L8 and associated regulations
Temperature monitoring of outlets, tanks, calorifiers and closed systems
Flushing of little-used outlets
Showerhead cleaning and descaling
Cold water storage tank inspections and disinfections
TMV servicing and checks
Closed system sampling, analysis and dosing
Removal of dead legs and dead ends
Replacement of ball valves, taps, TMVs, water heaters, fittings and components
Pipework rerouting and insulation works
