Head Dental Nurse
Head Dental Nurse - Leadership Role in Private Practice
Location: Central London
Hours: 3-5 days a week
Salary: £18-£20 per hour
A respected dental practice is seeking a confident and experienced Head Dental Nurse to lead its clinical support team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care and clinical compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the dental nursing team across multiple disciplines
- Oversee decontamination procedures and ensure compliance with infection control standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory systems
- Support implant procedures one day per week (implant experience preferred but not essential)
- Assist with specialist treatments including orthodontics, endodontics, and paediatrics
- Maintain clinical excellence and contribute to a positive team culture
Candidate Requirements
- GDC registration
- Previous leadership or senior nursing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of compliance, decontamination protocols, and stock management
- Implant nursing experience is a bonus but not essential
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- Reliable, organised, and confident in a fast-paced clinical environment
