Make a commercial impact at one of London s most iconic event venues.

Central Hall Westminster (CHW) is the largest heritage events venue in Westminster, hosting conferences, exhibitions, graduations, corporate events, concerts and public gatherings from 2 to 2,000+ guests.

Working with corporate organisations, charities and agents, we deliver a diverse programme of events in one of London's most recognised venues. High-profile events hosted at Central Hall Westminster include the Netflix Wednesday Season 2 Global Premiere, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and the Burberry Fashion Show, reflecting our reputation for delivering memorable experiences in a unique and historic setting.

CHW Ltd is owned by Trustees appointed by the Methodist Church. We conduct business in line with the Church s ethics, and our vision is to be a leading venue blending modern day functionality with a rich heritage. A place people are proud to work, where integrity, caring, collaboration and innovation shape our decisions and actions.

The Role

This is a stand-alone commercial role with responsibility for commercial contracts, procurement activities and commercial risk management across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead our approach to commercial contracts and procurement, helping the organisation make informed commercial decisions and manage risk effectively.

This is not a traditional procurement management role. While procurement forms part of the role, the primary focus is on reviewing, negotiating and managing commercial contracts that support our events, partnerships and business operations.

This role would suit an experienced commercial contract professional, contract manager, procurement specialist or commercially minded legal professional who enjoys combining commercial judgement with practical problem-solving.

The Opportunity

Commercial Contracts:

  • Review, negotiate and manage client contracts, supplier agreements, NDAs and partnership arrangements.
  • Assess requests to amend our standard terms and conditions, identifying commercial and legal risks while supporting revenue opportunities.
  • Provide practical advice to internal stakeholders on contractual matters and commercial risk.
  • Support negotiations with clients, suppliers and professional advisers where required.
  • Maintain oversight of contractual obligations, liabilities and key commercial commitments.
  • Develop pragmatic contract management practices that protect the organisation while supporting business objectives.

Procurement and Supplier Management:

  • Develop practical procurement and contract management processes that support the business without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Lead procurement and tender exercises, ensuring value for money and appropriate governance.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor contract performance.
  • Maintain oversight of contract renewals and key supplier commitments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial value, efficiency and supplier outcomes.

About You

You do not need to be a qualified Solicitor. However, you will be comfortable analysing contract terms, identifying areas of risk and engaging constructively with clients, suppliers, procurement professionals and legal advisers.

You will bring experience in:

  • Reviewing, negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
  • Advising stakeholders on contractual and commercial risk.
  • Building productive relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Balancing commercial objectives with effective risk management.
  • Influencing decision-making and building credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicating complex contractual matters clearly to non-specialists.

Why Join Us

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in supporting one of London's most distinctive venues.

You will:

  • Work directly with the COO and CFO in a highly visible role.
  • Take ownership of commercial contracts, procurement and commercial risk across the organisation.
  • Help strengthen the organisation's commercial and contract management practices.
  • Join a small organisation where your expertise can make a visible impact.
  • Benefit from the flexibility of a part-time role while maintaining senior-level responsibility.

Benefits

As a member of our team, you will have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • Private medical insurance
  • Generous pension
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and paid birthday leave
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Life assurance
  • Group income protection
  • Enhanced sick leave
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • 2 additional paid volunteering days each year
  • 50% discount at our in-house café and discounts to food and shopping places in local area.
  • Season ticket loan
  • Staff referral bonus

We welcome applications from candidates with a variety of backgrounds, skills and abilities. If you require reasonable adjustments to be made to any part of the recruitment process due to a disability, please contact us.
