Contract Conveyancer

We, TLT, are looking to speak to Contract Conveyancers to join our team in Glasgow. You will join our Lender Sales team, who deal with the sales of those properties that have been taken into possession and you will be responsible for your own case load of conveyancing files., As a Conveyancer your day to day remit includes:

• Be responsible for own caseload of conveyancing files, end to end for file opening to completion, referring all legal aspects to the Team Manager when necessary.
• Ensure that telephone calls are dealt with in a professional manner that full telephone notes are taken and that calls relating to any legal aspects which the Technical Case Handler is unable to deal with are referred to the Team Manager.
• Regularly update clients and asset managers as to progress of matters.
• Accompanying management team on client visits and has the knowledge and confidence to contribute to the meeting/training.
• Problem solving with facts of the case and be confident to discuss the actions with senior members of the wider team.
• Keeps up to date with changes in current regulations, policies and procedures and technical aspects of conveyancing process/ sharing with colleagues in the sales teams where appropriate., Operating from our offices in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast, we have specialist expertise in each UK jurisdiction. We act for banks, building societies, other secured lenders and third party services. Whatever the size of mortgage portfolio, we adapt our processes to deliver the best outcome for the lender and their customer. Our approach ensures that all customers are treated fairly, and vulnerability is identified and handled appropriately.
  Previous conveyancing experience is essential for this role.
• Previous experience of title checking freehold, leasehold and shared ownership properties.
• Previous experience drafting and providing detailed advice and proposed solutions to clients.
• Demonstrates a natural empathy/affinity with clients and a good telephone manner, with a clear diction.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Excellent spelling and grammar.
• Demonstrates proactivity and attention to detail.

This opportunity is being paid on a day rate via an Umbrella company. We are looking to speak to individuals in a commutable distance to our Glasgow offices as office attendance is required.
