Product Development Executive
This is a well-established, founder-led beauty brand renowned for innovation and first-to-market cosmetic formulations. Their products enjoy an international presence and are known for their high quality, creativity and industry-leading approach.
As Product Development Executive, you will report to the NPD Manager and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver the product strategy across two brand channels. You will lead the development process from initial concept to final launch, managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring each product is delivered on time, within scope and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end product development projects, overseeing a portfolio of up to 25–30 SKUs simultaneously.
- Drive projects from approval to delivery, ensuring timelines, quality standards and communication expectations are met.
- Brief and coordinate internal teams and external partners on project milestones, tasks and deliverables.
- Research emerging beauty trends and translate insights into commercially relevant, trend-led product concepts.
- Review and approve artwork, ensuring all regulatory requirements are accurately reflected.
- Create and update detailed product briefs, build critical paths and analyse post-launch performance.
- Conduct competitive market research to monitor positioning and identify opportunities.
- Complete SWOT analysis across the product portfolio to support strategic development planning.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and manufacturers across Europe and the Far East, communicating technical requirements and negotiating pricing.
- Ensure compliance with current EU regulations, contributing to regulatory tasks including product safety assessments, notifications and documentation collation.
- Collaborate closely with design, marketing, supply chain, retail, wholesale, warehousing and finance teams to support the smooth execution of the product development calendar.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in cosmetic product development.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulations and product creation processes.
- Proven project management capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong planning and organisational ability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office programmes.
- A collaborative team player with creativity and problem-solving skills.
