Events Manager FTC Maternity Cover - Lloyds Register...
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Events Manager to oversee and deliver exceptional events in the prestigious Grade II listed Lloyd’s Register Building in London. This is a unique opportunity to lead a range of high-profile events including fine dining experiences, drinks receptions, workshops, and seminars.
Key Responsibilities
· End-to-end event management across multiple event types (fine dining, receptions, corporate workshops, seminars, etc.)
· Manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution from planning to post-event analysis
· Work closely with the client; Lloyds Register Events Team and Foundation Events Team to design bespoke event experiences aligned with client objectives, creating the ‘wow’ factor.
· Budget planning and financial oversight for each event, ensuring all events are delivered within scope.
· Coordinate logistics, including scheduling and management of external suppliers, porters, cleaners, catering and security staff.
· Ensure all events comply with health and safety, building regulations, and preservation requirements of the Grade II listed site.
· Build and maintain supplier relationships including caterers, florists, AV teams, and hospitality providers.
· Conduct detailed site walkthroughs, risk assessments, health and safety issues and logistics briefings ahead of each event.
· Provide on-the-day leadership, acting as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and guests,
· Regularly evaluate event success and contribute to strategy and service improvement.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
· General Education to GCSE standard with an A-C grade in English & Maths or equivalent standard
· Ability to work in a team or alone.
· Ability to deal with confidential information.
Desirable
· Able to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the events/ client.
· Experience managing listed buildings or heritage venues, with an understanding of their operational limitations and requirements.
· Comfortable leading complex event setups involving multiple internal teams and third-party vendors
· Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills under pressure.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Experience in corporate or cultural venue management.
· Knowledge of sustainable event practices.
· Qualification in Event Management or related field.

Working Hours - FTC Maternity Cover. Core Hours: 09:00-17:30
*Event days: May require early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend or evening work.
