Food Technologist

Our client, an exciting and rapidly growing food brand, is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate food professional to join a dynamic business that is committed to delivering high-quality products and building strong supplier and customer relationships.

The successful candidate will support the technical function, ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance across both branded and own-label ranges. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role will involve working closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as a key contact for customers on technical matters including product specifications, packaging details, questionnaires, complaints, and sample requests.
• Liaising with suppliers on technical documentation, specifications, and quality-related queries.
• Supporting the maintenance of the company s Quality & Safety Management System in line with BRC standards.
• Participating in supplier visits and supporting supplier technical management.
• Assisting with product testing, sensory assessments, and sample handling.
• Supporting label approvals and technical documentation processes.
• Providing general technical administration support.

Your Experience

• Ideally 2 years + experience in a food technologist, quality control/ assurance or similar technical role.
• Degree or equivalent in Food Technology or similar.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, microbiology, packaging, nutrition, allergens, and shelf-life management.
• Familiarity with HACCP and BRC standards, as well as UK food legislation.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
• You must have a driving license and be able to drive in Europe.
• This role will require regular travel to Europe as well so you must be able to commit to this.
