Senior Product Designer (international expansions)
Ready to revolutionize healthcare, making it faster and more accessible than ever before?
How we started:
Back in 2013, our founder Dwayne D’Souza saw an opportunity to give people faster and more convenient access to medications using technology. We've grown rapidly since our inception, without any external funding whatsoever – achieving profitability through innovation and a highly disciplined approach to growth.
Where we are now:
We’ve earned the trust of millions of people worldwide through our top-selling products and well-known brands: MedExpress, Dermatica, ZipHealth, RocketRX, and Levity. A lot of our success is down to having our own pharmacies, manufacturers and products – spearheaded by leading in-house medical teams, researchers and pharmacists. Between 2023 and 2024 our global revenue tripled; £60m to £180m (300% year-on-year growth). We're looking to do the same in 2025; move into new territories, and further accelerate our growth journey. There’s never been a more exciting time to join HeliosX.
Where we’re going:
Over the next five years, you’ll support our goal to become a world-leading healthcare partner, deepening our customer relationships, expanding into new countries, and diversifying our product portfolio to treat more conditions. You’ll be part of helping more people access prescription treatments and, most importantly, making personalised care better, quicker and easier for everyone.
Come be a part of making our dream of easier and faster healthcare a reality!
About the role: As a Senior Product Designer on the Expansions Team at HeliosX, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver intuitive, accessible, and culturally adaptable digital healthcare experiences to customers around the world.
This role goes beyond crafting beautiful interfaces - you’ll be solving complex design challenges tied to healthcare access, regulatory environments, and cultural nuance across international markets. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical, regulatory, localisation, engineering, and product, to launch and scale HeliosX services in new countries, ensuring customers feel confident and supported in their healthcare journey, no matter where they are.
As a senior member of the team, you will champion design thinking across the organisation, lead high-impact initiatives, and help define what excellent, inclusive healthcare design looks like on a global scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Own and lead the end-to-end design process for new market expansions, from discovery through launch - aligning user experience with international business strategy.
- Translate complex healthcare and regulatory needs into elegant, inclusive, and accessible user experiences across diverse global contexts.
- Partner with localisation, legal, clinical, and operations teams to ensure designs are regionally compliant and culturally relevant.
- Leverage user insights, international UX research, and data to inform design decisions and iterate on existing product flows for global audiences.
- Champion the HeliosX Design System, ensuring it scales to meet the demands of internationalisation and localisation.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to shape roadmaps and embed design deeply into the development lifecycle.
- Conduct UX audits and usability testing in international markets to continuously refine and improve the product.
- Mentor designers across the team through critiques, coaching, and knowledge-sharing - fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and curiosity.
- Contribute to evolving design practices and frameworks that make global expansion faster, more consistent, and more user-centred.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience designing digital products, with a proven track record in a Senior Product Designer or equivalent role.
- Experienced in designing for global markets, with an understanding of localisation, international UX best practices, and regulatory healthcare constraints.
- Skilled in human-centred design, discovery, and prototyping, with the ability to navigate complex product and compliance challenges.
- Strong visual and interaction design craft, with mastery of tools like Figma and a deep understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- A natural systems thinker who can see across the product ecosystem and design for scale and consistency.
- Comfortable in cross-functional, fast-paced environments, ideally within tech, health tech, or regulated industries.
- Confident working independently, managing ambiguity, and driving forward strategic design initiatives.
- An excellent communicator and collaborator who builds trust with engineers, PMs, clinicians, and stakeholders across time zones.
