Marketing Communications Specialist

About the role:

The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in the UK Marketing team, working closely with cross-functional teams including Paid Media, Events, and PR. The role will focus on managing website content, campaign communications, and supporting brand-building initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation.

Working Location: Uxbridge, London

Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own and manage the UK website, ensuring content is up to date, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and manage content briefs for campaigns, working with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality assets (copy, imagery, video, digital).
  • Coordinate and manage campaign content across multiple channels (website, paid media, social media, email, events).
  • Collaborate with the Paid Media team to ensure content and messaging are optimised for campaigns across digital platforms.
  • Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Work closely with the Events team to ensure events are effectively promoted, and that event content feeds into broader marketing activity.
  • Lead activation of partnerships and sponsorships that BYD partakes in to maximise value and extend partnerships through all comms channels.
  • Contribute to brand storytelling by developing engaging content tailored to different audiences (B2C and B2B).
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Monitor and report on performance of website and campaign content, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Support CRM/email marketing initiatives with content development and deployment.
  • Liaise with internal vision centre and partners for content production and creative delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing communications, content management, or campaign coordination; automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and brand alignment.
  • Experience with website CMS platforms and digital content management.
  • Familiarity with paid media, social media, and email marketing best practices.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • High motivation, proactive mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
