Qualified Room Leader

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a friendly and well-established early years setting in East London. The Role:

Lead and manage a nursery room, ensuring high-quality care and learning for all children

Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

Support children’s learning, development, and emotional wellbeing

Supervise and support other nursery practitioners within the room

Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment

Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues

Complete observations, assessments, and learning journals to track progress

Ensure safeguarding and nursery policies are always followed

The Ideal Candidate:

Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent)

Previous experience working within a nursery setting

Experience leading a room or supporting room management (preferred)

Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

Excellent communication and leadership skills

A passionate, caring, and enthusiastic approach to early years education

A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
