WHO WE ARE
We are Born Social, a social-first creative agency that brings brand building into the social era. We have a track record of delivering transformation for iconic brands like Guinness, Ford, and Barclays, led by our team of social natives and brand experts, underpinned by technology.

Backed by the strength of a brilliant business that's proudly B-Corp certified, we're consistently recognised as one of the best places to work.

As a Social Media Manager your objective is to strategically execute industry-leading social content. From managing our organic content plans, copywriting, community management, reactive content management, to turning an influencer strategy into reality.

Please note: Internal candidates may be considered for this position as part of the selection process, in line with our commitment to transparent and fair recruitment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Creating standout lo-fi, social-first content by conceptualising, planning, shooting, sometimes appearing in and editing directly on your phone, and using tools like Canva to quickly bring ideas to life.

  • You’ll be comfortable stepping in front of the camera when needed, bringing ideas to life in a way that feels natural and authentic.

  • Staying plugged into culture and community by spotting trends before they blow up, scaling insights from audiences, and adapting trending formats in ways that feels authentic for each client.

  • Crafting clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for posts, captions, and community management.

  • Connecting brands with their communities through meaningful, always-on community management and engagement, and smart participation in cultural moments.

  • Analysing content and channel performance, uncovering creative insights, and using them to guide recommendations and reporting.

  • Owning the delivery of monthly and quarterly reports that clearly demonstrate impact and inform future strategy.

  • Building trusted, collaborative relationships with clients, positioning yourself as their go-to social expert.

  • Overseeing day-to-day social channel management - scheduling content, updating bios and links, maintaining content calendars, and ensuring all activity is consistent, accurate, and on-brand.

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive monthly and quarterly content calendars, mapping posts, publishing dates, formats, and channels.

  • Staying up-to-date with social platform updates, emerging formats, and best practices to inform creative and strategic decisions.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • You'll have a sophisticated understanding of the platforms and be able to advise on when, where and how often content should be shared.

  • You live and breathe content, and are driven by a desire to create and occasionally feature in great client work.

  • A creative thinker & writer: you're able to work both independently and collaboratively on ideation for content across social.

  • You love brands and social media: you're fascinated by brands, how they market themselves, and use social media to do this.

  • You are naturally curious about the developments of the digital world and excited by its potential.

  • Pride in your work: we treat our client's brands as our own and are meticulous about our approach. You will take real pride in what you deliver and always strive for perfection.

  • Real drive and ambition: you'll be constantly adapting to the ever-growing world of social, and we need people who have the mindset of growth as well as the ambition to get there.

  • You'll have one or more years of experience working with social media (agency-side preferable).

NO GRIT NO PEARL

No Grit No Pearl is our creative mantra – a single-minded statement of intent that defines how we get to great work and the standard we hold ourselves to. Because we believe the best work isn't formed instantly, they're shaped through commitment, care, and perseverance. Grit isn’t about grind - it’s about staying curious, pushing ideas, and appreciating the process to reach the Pearl - work we’re proud of, created to the highest standard that makes a lasting impact.

VALUES

Our values aim to pinpoint the magic ingredients for us at our best. We look for people who share our values and can add to our culture.

⚡️ See Challenge as Opportunity ... is about our attitude and to be very clear, this is not a value of optimism, nor is it about loving every challenge.

⚡️ Say It Simply ... is how we communicate. Think of the basic rules of communication - honest, clear, confident.

⚡️ Do What You Say ... is the crux of our reputation and longevity. When you join Born Social, our trust is fully given. It is yours to lose.

⚡️ Make Each Other Better ... is about our culture of collaboration and commitment to development. We are only as good as the people around us so we all take responsibility for developing each other, as well as ourselves.

⚡️ Consciously Contribute ...is bigger than all the others. It ensures we grow right. It broadens our focus beyond Born Social and cements our commitment to doing what’s just, not what’s easy or immediately self-serving.
