The Opportunity:

As PMO Manager, you will act as the “single source of truth” across all projects, providing clear oversight of progress, risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation. You will ensure alignment to business strategy while maintaining high standards of delivery performance across both technical and business transformation programmes.

You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, PMO analysts, and support staff, fostering a culture of consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role also carries responsibility for portfolio-level resource planning, budget management, and financial forecasting, ensuring optimal utilisation and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Project Management Office. Manage various initiatives, establishing governance, best practices, and reporting to ensure strategic alignment and delivery success.

  • Provide a "single source of truth" by monitoring and reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and benefits tracking across all projects.

  • Lead and mentor project managers, PMO staff, and analysts to drive best practices and ensure consistent delivery.

  • Manage portfolio-level resource capacity planning, budget oversight, and financial forecasting.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior management, acting as a key advisor.

  • Ability to guide and coordinate with multiple technical teams working on different transformation tracks.

  • Ability to effectively manage deadlines with stakeholders and handle deviations confidently before escalating for additional support.

  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

  • Identify, document and address risks, issues or scheduling conflicts.

  • Experience of working with waterfall, agile and hybrid development teams

  • Responsible for ensuing strong business partnering with a strong customer focus

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in Project/ Program Management managing multiple technology projects (including in Software development and Infrastructure)

  • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle

  • Solid PM Office management and project management skills, experience across waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion

  • Good knowledge of technical architecture

  • Demonstrable capability of understand complex technical landscapes

  • Partners with Stakeholders: has the desire to work co-operatively with all stakeholders to meet mutual goals and seeks out and shares inputs from others

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Detail oriented
