PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,600 - £38,800PURPOSE OF THE ROLEBBC Sport Scotland has been commissioned to produce a third series of the popular 'Icons of Football' format. The series will be six episodes for the BBC Scotland channel covering the careers of six different Scottish football legends who have made their mark on the game using key interviews, rich archive, newspapers and stills.In the researcher role you will be required to identify, research and develop ideas and content for the series, often to tight deadlines. You will also contribute to the delivery of content and provide support across all areas of the production as required.WHY JOIN THE TEAMWe are looking for a researcher to join our programme team producing six thirty minute episodes of Icons. You will be involved at all levels of production assisting with sourcing contributors, archive, fact checking scripts and the filming of interviews. - Proven research skills to provide background material on each episode, key interviewees and other contributors to enable to PD to formulate scripts and develop shoot plans

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to maintain a calm, measured approach when working with a variety of colleagues and contributors in a busy production environment. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- High proficiency with BBC systems such as the Digital Library, Digital Archive, Archive Search and Music Box, along with external media archives and commercial stills libraries
- Good problem solving skills and the ability to operate on your own initiative
- Knowledge of the BBC's Editorial Guidelines and Values.
- Eye for detail and ability to fact check DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience of working as part of a filming crew
- Some experience of self shooting and editing with Avid media compose priority consideration ahead of other applicants.
