Finance Analyst

Harper May is working with a leading consulting business that is expanding its financial operations and looking to appoint a commercially focused Finance Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, project-based environment where financial insight plays a key role in strategic planning and performance optimisation.

Role Overview: As Finance Analyst, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and key stakeholders across the business to deliver financial analysis, support forecasting and budgeting, and provide data-driven insights to influence decision-making. The role offers excellent exposure to commercial activity and the chance to shape financial processes in a growing consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver insightful financial reports, dashboards, and analysis

Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts

Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews across service lines

Business partner with operational teams to support project costing, pricing, and profitability

Assist in month-end reporting and KPI tracking

Contribute to the development of internal reporting tools and process improvements

Support ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership and Board-level reporting

Candidate Profile:

ACA / ACCA / CIMA fully qualified

Previous experience in a finance or analyst role within a consulting or professional services firm preferred

Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with BI tools or modelling software desirable

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly

Commercially aware, detail-focused, and able to work across multiple priorities
