Nanny-Housekeeper

A bit about us and why we are looking:
We are a warm, busy family of five in the High Wycombe area, with three lovely children aged 3, 4 and 6 and two friendly dogs who are very much part of the household. Both of us run growing businesses, and life is full. What we are really looking for is a trusted right hand at home, someone who can keep the house calm and well run during the day so that when we close the laptops we can simply be present with the kids rather than catching up on everything else.

This is not a fill in role and it is not a one season thing. We want to find the right person and keep them for the long term, treat them properly, and build a relationship where they genuinely feel part of the family. If that is the kind of home you want to work in, please read on.

What the days look like. The role is a real blend of childcare and looking after the home. A typical day includes:

With the children:
- School and nursery pickups for all three
- Taking them to the occasional after school activity
- Preparing healthy snacks and keeping them happy, safe and busy while we are working

Around the home
- Keeping the whole house clean and tidy through the day, including kitchen, bathrooms and living areas
- Laundry and ironing for the family
- General tidying and upkeep so the house always feels on top of itself
- The odd errand
- Helping with our two dogs day to day
- Keeping an eye on household supplies and flagging anything that needs restocking
- The person we are hoping to find

More than any certificate, we care about who you are. We are looking for someone warm, patient and genuinely good with little ones, who is proactive and notices what needs doing without being asked, and who we can trust completely in our home. Someone reliable, kind and easy to have around, who will treat our home as if it were their own.

Essentials
- The right to work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence and your own car
- Happy to hold or obtain an enhanced DBS check (we will cover the cost)
- Comfortable and relaxed around our two dogs
- Genuine warmth and patience with young children
- Reliable, proactive and trustworthy, with references we can check from previous families or employers
- Happy to work in a non smoking home
- Physically able to take on the cleaning side of the role

Lovely to have, but not essential
- A recognised childcare qualification such as CACHE, NVQ or equivalent
- Paediatric first aid training
- Confidence with family cooking and meal prep

- £18 to £20 per hour gross depending on experience, paid properly through payroll with proper payslips
