The Role – Graduate Academic Mentor
As a Graduate Academic Mentor , you will work closely with teaching staff to provide academic support across different subject areas and year groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting students during lessons to help clarify concepts and improve understanding.
- Providing additional academic support through small-group sessions and one-to-one mentoring.
- Supporting pupils with revision strategies, coursework organisation and exam preparation.
- Encouraging positive learning behaviours and helping students develop confidence in their abilities.
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Tracking student engagement and progress, sharing insights with teaching staff when appropriate.
This role offers invaluable experience for graduates seeking to understand classroom practice while making a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys.
